“I’m dreaming of a Privée Christmas…”

J2 Helix Fair 12Dec13 124As the Christmas event season begins to wind up we thought we would take a moment to look back over the last few weeks and share some of our favourite moments with you.

What could be better than a white blanket covering at Christmas time? This year with an absence of snow in December, Privée brought in 6 beautiful snow coated log cabins to be placed outside the spectacular Christmas Market at a major office development near Liverpool Street, for occupiers and passers-by alike. The market was a huge success with participation from elite retailers such as Cocoa Bijoux the upmost luxury in chocolates, Maxims of Paris with stunning pâté’s, sweet wines and lavish wrapping papers, The Book People bringing a wide range of discounted books, Androuet with stunning cheeses as well as Kiehls exquisite beauty products. The bustling market also had an impressive live brass trio with a succulent Hog Roast from Barebones along with mulled wine and mince pies to add to the Christmas vibe.

????????????????????????????????????Privée is renowned for organising some of the best corporate Christmas parties around. Two recent example include a completely bespoke event for 300 people. Through our unique relationship with the location we took over the 29th floor of Heron Tower, adding a dazzling dance floor overlooking the blinking lights of the city, turning the iconic building into the best nightclub in London. The entire floor was transformed into an elite nightspot, with inflatable walls, several bars, carpeted floors and an enthusiastic DJ that had everyone off their seats and onto the dance floor. The event proved to be a huge success with tasty canapés, charming cocktails with a spectacular aerial performance from a female contortionist.

The event took over this incredibly stylish ballroom for a delicious sit down banquet. Beautiful bespoke handmade Christmas crackers, illusions from our favourite close up magician who makes playing cards disappear into an iPad as well as other mystifying tricks, and finally a live music from a 1920’s styled retro jazz band, accompanied the sophisticated evening.

Last but not least, Privée organised an exquisite Christmas lunch for a major Mayfair based property company at Amesta at The Halkin Hotel for around 20 people. Ametsa recently won its first Michelin star and for lovers of Spanish food and Tapas we would highly recommend it. It was an alternative location for a Christmas lunch and one the client really appreciated. Their tasting menu included aperitivos served on arrival, a selection of Monkfish with mash potato and sweet pepper, Ham Croquettes and Kataifi Scorpion Fish Cake accompanied by a glass of Cava.

Entrantes tailed on afterwards, “Atun Asado, Mojo Negro” (Grilled Tuna with Black ‘Mojo’) Pescados, “Tacos de Vacuno Mayor con Fruta de La Pasion” (Beef Fillet with Passion fruit) Principal followed by a scrumptious “Oh! Pera” (Pear with Chocolate Wooden Board). All dishes were carefully paired with speciality wines. Once lunch had concluded, guests were escorted from the private dining room to enjoy drinks in the hotel bar.
