Aqua Restaurant Group, the Hong Kong based company with 23 restaurants across Hong Kong, Beijing and London has launched ‘Aqua Shard’, a new restaurant concept for the city, located on level 31 of Europe’s tallest building.
As part of the launch, Privée has obtained the unobtainable for our members and is offering a ‘priority reservation service’ which includes a glass of champagne for you and your guests on arrival.
Aqua Group owner David Yeo and Executive Chef Anthony Garlando, have worked together to create a menu which combines classic British ingredients with highly innovative cooking techniques. Garlando’s spent eight years working with Master Chef Pierre Gagnaire, during which he launched several of his acclaimed restaurants around the world.
A Club Privée member from Mayfair who attended the opening night said that it is “a simply spectacular venue decorated in a modern, chic style making the very most of the views, also privacy of the tables has been well thought out. All the staff were knowledgeable, helpful, friendly and extremely efficient. The menu is wide ranging, adventurous and extremely well executed with the source of all produce listed in the back of the menu. The perfect place to indulge and relax with an outstanding view.”
The 220 cover Aqua Shard is split into two areas, with all seats offering panoramic views over the Thames and London. In addition, there is a spectacular three-storey high atrium bar, serving quintessential British cocktails with an emphasis on gin and tea that links to another restaurant from the Group – Hutong on level 33.
